1971 Dodge Challenger R/T – The King –

Dodge Challenger appeared in 1970 to compete with the Ford Mustang. The car entered the market too late (Mustang was sold since 1964), but fell in the Hall of Fame of American muscle cars: today in the US the Challenger of the early ’70s (along with the Plymouth ‘Cuda) is one of the most expensive and revered cars.

Its life was short, but bright. Challenger was one of the most powerful and technologically advanced muscle cars. Dodge Challenger managed to hold on the line for only four years, when the oil crisis occurred, killing the muscle car.

Here we have a great video with a truly rare beauty which today is very hard to find. This is the 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T, 1 of the 3,493 samples produced 43 years ago.

This Challenger is on sale at Southern Motors in Michigan for the price of $32,900.
