Now that Toyota is talking about a bringing a Cummins diesel into the Tundra in 2016 the highest volume selling Japanese brand it may gain a bit more respect among coal rolling truck lovers. So who wins the tug of war between one Caterpillar D8 and 20 Toyotas? You’re just going to have to watch the video all the way through to find out. However, that’s not what this video and story are about, although it does involve some Toyota trucks and SUVs of varying vintage and type. As a matter of fact, this tale that somewhat resembles that of David and Goliath involves 20 trucks and SUVS of the Toyota brand. The video was shot at an off-road event great that took place in Geilenkirchen, Germany, and it looks like these guys has one heck of a good time. According to the book “The Caterpillar Chronicle: The History Of The World’s Greatest Earthmovers”, the 1953 D8 mustered somewhere between 150 and 185 hp out that beefy D13000 series, a six-cylinder in-line diesel powerplant. From the looks of it, the Caterpillar D8 is one bad machine! From the looks of it, the twenty ‘Yotas struggle to budge the Caterpillar free of its position, but slowly pull it backwards!
