Mecum Auctions estimates this Supra to bring between $150,000 and $200,000 on auction day (12 MAY), but we wouldn’t be surprised if the car sails past this range with barely a pause. “The Fast and the Furious” came out in 2001, and 14 years later some of the kids who grew up with the franchise no doubt have the financial means to buy their hero’s car.
In true Fast and Furious fashion, however, it does come with two NOS bottles that you can tap into to propel your new piece of movie history.
While several of these Supras were used in filming the movie, this particular one was used in the iconic final drag race between Brian and Dom.
The car is equipped with nitrous-oxide bottles, as in the film, but they aren’t connected. It’s also got a beefed-up suspension and roll cage. There are many other car-related details mentioned that we don’t particularly understand, like “a naturally aspirated, 220-hp 2JZ-GE 3-liter inline 6 engine meshed to a 5-speed manual transmission,” as well as the phrases “Bomex body kit,” “APR rear wing” and “Dazz alloy wheels wrapped in Yokohama rubber.”
